One New Years Goal:

1) Read my scriptures.

I'm not even putting a time constraint or number of chapters on this goal. I feel if I just focus on reading my scriptures regularly then all other things will begin to fall into place. We have to start with the small things and then the bigger things can be naturally achieved. So that's what I'll do. Keep it simple and have faith and things will happen.

I have a migraine today, so I thought I'd take some time to blog about something I've been keeping to myself. Part of my blogging goal is to be more open with others. I think I used to wear my heart on my sleeve, and I think in a one on one situation I still do. But I've somehow managed to become closed off to my friends and family that are not immediately around me. So, I want to talk to you about my infertility. I think this all started from thinking about a cousin of mine who didn't have kids until she was in her later thirties. I always have assumed it was because she wanted a career first. That may be the case, but then again it may not. Who am I to judge? Then I got to thinking, "How do others perceive my situation?" I think most of you probably assume I just can't have kids and that is mostly true. I want children more than anything else in this world but I can't have children within my own power. As of this week I've started my last round of fertility drugs after using them for a year. I will not be going back on them after this month. In my mind, I feel like this is my last chance but I guess, truthfully, it's not. There is nothing the doctors could find wrong with me or Levi. It's just not our time. It sucks knowing you're fully capable to do something but it's not part of the Plan. Because this is our last try with the Clomid I asked Levi to give me a blessing last night. At first he was just going to give me a blessing of comfort but then felt inspired to give me a blessing of healing, to heal any infirmities I may have. We both feel that if there was anything wrong with me I have now been healed of that. And then he blessed me to know that my Heavenly Father is proud of my accomplishments and that He loves being my Father. He said we may not be blessed to have babies with these bodies but that we would be parent's in some way or another be it adoption or inheritance. I found it interesting that he used the word "inheritance." He said that Heavenly Father asks me to be patient a little longer. All these things were hard to hear and yet somehow I knew that would be what I was going to hear. I guess I was hoping I would be blessed to get pregnant, but it doesn't sound like that's in the Plan right now. So I guess I have some closure. I have felt that if I didn't get pregnant it's because I haven't been doing enough, I haven't been trying hard enough. Now I can say, "It's not my fault. It's not supposed to be." That gives me some comfort. I can let it go. It's not in my hands and I haven't disappointed my God. It still hurts and I will always crave children but I do have a testimony that God has a Plan for me and I will somehow and someday be a mother. So there it is....all on my sleeve.

Resolutions

Ok...New Year's Resolutions #1 priority...more Blogging. Ha Ha...yeah right. That's actually not one of my goals but something I plan on doing more of. Mostly to see if it helps me keep my sanity. But for reals...here are my 6 goals:

#1. Pray more - I've really been slacking in this area and don't feel as close to my Father in Heaven as I should. After all, Who is the one that blesses me with all that I have? The least I could do is chat Him up more.

#2. Read my scriptures - I'm embarrassed to admit at failing at that too but all I have to say is that for some reason playing solitaire on my phone for 15 minutes before closing my eyes always seems more fun. I do love, though, how already the little reading I'm doing is changing my perspective for the better.

#3. Go to the temple each month - So get this... I live, literally, blocks away from the temple. I could take a 15 minute walk, hop on Trax and get there. I have no excuse.

#4. Finally submit my children's book to someone - I've had this thing written for years and each year I think I'll do it. This year, I will. I'm setting some small goals along the way to get me there and a due date. Wish me luck!

#5. Loose 10 pounds - Say what you want...but remember I'm not going to tell you what weight you should be. I've put on a lot of weight in the last year from just laziness and haven't been this heavy since college when I was eating cake mix for dinner. I can safely loose 10 pounds and still be healthy.

#6. Go back to school - It's my time. I've always thought I had to put school off to try to build this family and make everything work. Well, the family isn't really growing as planned and if I'm going to work I might as well be doing what I want to do. So what do I want to do? Marriage Counseling. It's a lot of schooling but I'm actually excited about it.

That's it folks. I figure the simpler the goals the more likely I'll complete them. Now I just need to write them down on something other than this blog and plaster them on the fridge. It's going to happen....I can feel it. I'll keep you updated each month.

Greener Pastures

So, I've been disgruntled with life as of late. Things go good for awhile then bad stuff happens and i find myself constantly thinking, "It will get better when...." But I'm realizing there is not going to be any "when". There's not supposed to be. I'm supposed to be happy now. About every two years I start to get antsy and want to plan our next step in life, hoping that if we take that next step I'll finally be content with life. Newsflash...that's not going to happen and here's why: I am not every going to be satisfied with my life until I learn to be happy with what I've got. And so here's my list of what I've got:

a loving husband,
two adorable doggies,
a good job- where I'm liked,
decent health,
a testimony and faith,
the cutest house ever,
fantastic friends who let me know I'm loved,
an outstanding ward family,
my own wonderful family which includes all my in-laws,
many talents to keep me entertained,
and the list goes on and on.

The point is I have a lot to love about my life. Now the goal just needs to be to love those things.

Girl's Camp

Levi and I had the blessing to be invited to stay a night at girl's camp. I took the day off from work and we went to help out with the girls. I loved it. The girls and youth in our ward have such inspiring testimonies and attitudes. They are great examples to me and I just adore them.

Kambrie and Autumn in the background. Funny story...the girls went Snipe hunting. They built up there stories about Snipes so much that Autumn was petrified and wouldn't go anywhere near the group as we Snipe hunted. I almost felt bad for how afraid she was but it was quite funny when she found out what Snipes really are.

Claire...she was cute. She just kept asking me questions about family related things, like if I wanted kids and what would I name them, and where was I married and how long, etc.

Claire and Camilla. Camilla has a twin Veronica and it wasn't until this camping trip that I could finally tell them apart. We've been in the ward almost 2 years and I just always just avoided using there names.

In May I took a quick trip home to have a girl's weekend. I had to take my camera of course. Sarah just didn't feel like smiling for this one. That's ok cause it's still cute.

I hadn't seen this kid for almost 6 months. He's gotten so big. Sarah insisted I wear the tiara.

Then we partied it up and ate til we were sick at Susan's.

I'm just here to preach...or maybe, just share. I had the opportunity to hear an emeritus member of the seventy speak to a family home evening group for single adults. It was a great talk and the best thing I took away from it was.....ready for this....

"If you want more money, double your fast offering."

Guess what! It works. I tell you it does. Levi and I have doubled our fast offerings the last two months and here is a list of the results:

1. Levi got a full week of 12 hour days with overtime.
2. We were blessed to be able to back out of $1800 in debt.
3. I got a temporary promotion and raise.
4. They're offering overtime at my work.
5. We're easily sticking to a budget that works for us.
6. I was told about an employee discount that will save us 20% on our phone bill.
7. Mary Kay orders keep coming in even though I've slacked at my business.
8. We're miraculously catching up on our bills.
9. Levi's aunt offered to pay me to help her with her shoe parties.
10. and many more blessings to come.

Now, understand, I'm not rich yet and probably never will be, but when we give and do as we're commanded the Lord is obligated to bless us. Not to mention the wonderful blessings that fast offerings have blessed us with in the past, like counseling and food in our fridge. God knew what he was doing when he inspired the organization of our church. I'm so thankful for those words of wisdom and you can believe I will continue to keep paying double on my fast offerings.

Womanhood

I've been thinking a lot lately about my role as a woman. I am a homemaker. I'm supposed to make my home a temple, a safe haven from the world. I'm supposed to be a nurturer and teacher. A mother, friend, and companion to my husband. And my place is in the home. While that is not a reasonable possibility just yet, I feel it in my bones that the place for this woman is in her home. In the home to keep it tidy, organized. To cook healthy meals and raise happy children. To decorate and design a home of peace, comfort and love. To be available to keep the home running smoothly. Now I'm not ignorant to the fact that these things don't always happen even when the woman is in the home. But the feelings inside me draw me to be in my home for my family. However, I don't want to say that women who have to work or choose to work are wrong. I actually love working, but my heart is telling me at this time to be working in my home. To put my heart here, and not at my job. I just don't know how people can balance work, home and family. Maybe I just don't do it so well, but if I could just eliminate my job...I really think I could make this house a home. This year I'm hoping to fill it with baby cries and giggles. (I'm not pregnant, don't get excited) But this is my year.

The other thoughts on my mind are personal but I want to share even though I tend to keep it within my close family and friends. I want a baby, so badly. I'm really tired of hearing about all these people having babies. (Please don't take this personally if your having a baby or getting a baby). It's not a personal thing against any one person. I'm just tired of being left out. Wow! That brought on some unexpected tears. I've been having a hard time realizing that I'm running out of friends without kids. And it's hard not to lose a little hope. But......this is my year. We are going to see some fertility specialists and do our part to try to make this whole kid thing happen. And maybe in the process we'll discover a solution to the migraines. I got some lab results today that show I have high cholesterol, (yikes it sounds like I'm getting old) and high levels of prolactin, which is a hormone that can be a cause to infertility. If those levels are high then it means other hormones are not being released to trigger ovulation. The solution could be as simple as medication. Let's all pray that's the case. So we're on the war path and we're here to win the battle.

Well, enough of the womanhood and crying. Just thought I'd share.

For all of you who have been waiting awhile this is for you. I always feel I have to have something important to put or some great pics to post in order to leave a post on my blog but I don't this time. I have pictures on my camera which is sitting on my desk just feet away but then I would have to find the cord to hook the camera up to the computer and then I would have to find the pics I wanted out of all the ones on there. And don't forget a caption for each and well....I don't even know if they are that exciting. But some things I do find exciting is the painting we are doing in our house. From tan to grey. Don't worry I think we have enough red accents to keep the place bright. I will post pics when it's all done. Also exciting is the friendship we are building with our FHE partners. They make us happy and uplift us. Not that not all of you do too. We love all our friends. Exciting is the sewing I've done on my curtains to try to fancy them up from bed sheets. Yes. I have bed sheets hanging in my windows. Again, pics will come when they are finished. And last of all...I'm excited about the growing feelings inside to be at home in the future and to be a mom. I feel it in my bones. This will be our year! Guess that's all for now. Most of you are probably not as excited with just reading posts as you are with picture posts so we'll keep this one short. Here we are again...letting life keep us busy...but perhaps an update.

Kiersten and I are starting a photography business....just one day at a time so I thought I'd post some of Val & Phil's engagement pics that I just love. If you know of anyone that would love to be practice subjects...let me know.

Other news....Levi and I have officially started the adoption process... Most of you already know this but just in case I missed someone...
Lots of changes ahead of us I think...but good ones.

We just celebrated 7 years together. Didn't know if we'd make it but we've weathered the storms and are ready to weather more together. I'm so grateful for my husband and his kind heart. I used to think the lack of playful fighting between us meant he just wasn't that into me...until I realized that he has no desire in any part of his being to hurt me in any way, even if it was playful fighting. Levi has the sweetest heart of anyone I know. I love him so much!

Levi started taking a math class. He needs a full year of college calculus to be able to teach high school math which is what he wants to do. I'm so proud of him for making it happen and glad to see the joy he takes in heading down his career path. A little late starting but who cares as long as you get there, right?!

Bison Huntin'

We went a bison huntin' and found a very tall piece of grass....possibly world's tallest.

We found a large metal ball. Not a buffalo...looked like it from a distance.

See...doesn't that look like a bison?

Ryu found that getting loose and running in the water is fun!

Stephen found that the tall piece of grass makes a really good whip. Should be good to use on the bison.

Found a good photo opp.

Discovered that eating worms with your eyes closed tastes better. ( I don't know why I closed my eyes)

We learned that surprised looks look better on film than practiced smiles!

Found that it's easy to forget to change the color filter on the camera. And Levi looks really cool in blue.

So I would have to say that most of my friends are creative...and much more creative than me. So many of them have shops and sell things. I am just really good at recreating someone else's good idea. That's why I do Mary Kay or draw pictures of other pictures, or steal design ideas from magazines. Anywhoo....I just wanted to put a shout out for my friend Sarah, the most entrepreneurial woman I've ever known. Growing up she was always coming up with new great ideas and inventions. She's always been artistic, drawing horses on everything she owned and even came up with a way to earn enough money to buy her own horse...and she did. To Dye Or Not To Dye

That is the question. I'm getting my hair cut on Monday and I can't quite decide what to do. Do I keep growing it out? Do I color it? Or do I cut it like this adorable cut I found in my hair mag. I really think it's cute but I'm not sure I'm ready to give up my long hair. I want to do something fun that will make me stand out a little. If I keep it long it will look mostly the same just trimmed up. Help! Vote for what you think I should do so I can know what others think would look good on me. Also, I have been growing out my natural color in hopes that it would be a nice darkish brown but it has a lot of golden highlight to it. I really like dark brown hair. Should I go back to dying it or continue to go a'natural?

So I did something few might expect or maybe it's totally me. I'm officially a Mary Kay consultant. I've been doing it for about a month now and am already seeing progress. I've earned quite a bit, have had some really fun parties and am working to earn his and her bikes. Yeah! I'm very excited about the bikes.

Largest Pizza Ever & Spring

Yesterday at church I bit down wrong. I have a baby tooth that never fell out with no adult tooth to push it out. It's been semi-loose for about 5 years until yesterday.

It was very loose and I was totally uncomfortable all day, barely chewing my food. I made an appointment with a dentist on Thursday to discuss my options. Finally, this evening I just gave it a little tug and out it came. I've had nightmares of this for years and the day is finally here. And now I'm just a little more white trash than I was before. Oh well!

I love making up names or just naming things like strangers, cars, puppies, pets, computers, phones, blankets. Here are some examples:
My computer's name is Sam. My blanket's name is Oobie. The wheelchair is Wheelie. Our car is now Jazz and the svu is The Wonder. Ryu's nickname is Little Blue and Jabberjaw Grouchypants. Ume's nickname is Princess Ewok or Sweetheart. And Levi's also Mo and Peaches.

So anyway, as part of a writing excercise I decided to come up with a name for every letter of the alphabet that would be a good character name. Here they are:
Alasia (like Asia w/ an L), Bracks, Caster, Dean, Eli-o, Fiona, Garren, Henry Ray, Iza, Jaedis, Kael, Lizzy Lei, Minnie Mae, Niles, Octavius, Pearl, Quin, Reegan, Shilo, Teal, Ursala, Valen, Waylen, Xiavier, Yule, and Zed.

Names are great and sometimes I'd even like to try on a new one. I just don't know what I would call myself other than Roxy. What would you like to change your name to?

So Cold, Oh So Cold

Tired of being cold? I am. I'm sitting here on my bed with my feet tucked under the blankets and a warm laptop on my lap top and yet I'm still shivering. Do I bother to put on a sweater or pull up the covers? No. It's just much more fun to complain about the snow that keeps poking it's ugly head. My dogs are smarter than me. Ume wears her sweater all day, every day and Ryu at least had the sense to climb under the covers. And here I still sit. Levi's taking a hot shower in the hot bathroom. And I still sit.....Well, I guess I'll go put a sweater on.

So I think my children's story is complete. Well, maybe I should mull over it some more but I am beginning the publishing research. It kind of scares me. I'm really pursuing something. I know I do a lot of talking of what I plan to do but that's all it ever turns out to be. Not this year, though. I am going to follow through on my dreams. Yes, I will be a published author yet. And I have determined not to pursue a career in writing but to continue it as a hobby. I'm not a fan of feeling pressure to do things I just enjoy doing...so I would not like deadlines and what not. I've also determined not to pursue music either. I am passionate about music but I feel my more natural talents lie in the visual arts...now just what fashion of art...I've yet to determine that. I guess you could say..."to be continued........"

More Evidence

I was talking to a friend about blogs and how most people appear to have the perfect, happy-go-lucky lives. To me even hearing their children's poop stories doesn't change my feelings that they have a good, happy family life. But the truth is no one does. We all have things we hide or are ashamed of. No child is smiley all the time and no parent is perfect. No LDS member lives the gospel perfectly and no marriage is all love and roses. So here is my evidence of my imperfect life, starting with the empty fridge. While we've been blessed to buy a house, it has come with great financial sacrifices. Don't worry, we aren't starving but it is a humble reminder to look in the fridge and remember our choice.

I'm not the best parent to my dog's. I tend to lose my patience and yell, even when they've done nothing wrong. They don't get regular baths and their nails have not been clipped for a very, very long time. Ume tends to get mats in her fur and I'm not diligent at brushing them out. I haven't even taken them to the vet for a very long time, probably at least a year. But I sure love them and do my best to give them the attention they deserve.

I do not look pretty without make up or my hair done. This is the evidence of a late morning and I'm still in my pj's. I have a hormone inbalance that makes me break out often and I have a nasty habit (or maybe you should call it a nervous addiction) where I can't leave my "blemishes" alone. It's embarrassing and really does a number on my self esteem. The hormone inbalance has also made it hard or maybe even impossible for me to get pregnant and we have not had any success in 5 years. All I ever wanted to be was a mom. That's probably why your children's poop stories are still so glamorous to me. (However, I'm not looking for sympathy, just sharing evidence of my not so glamorous life).

I'm bad at taking care of my dog's nails as well as my own. I painted my toe nails before Christmas! I haven't done a thing to them since. Yuck!

And of course, my house is never as clean as when you visit it. The laundry piles up in and out of the basket. The sink, mirror, toilet, and bath tub go unclean until I can't stand it any more or I have visitors.

The counter on a regular day is loaded with dirty dishes and piles of mail opened, unopened and bills paid or unpaid. Old grocery receipts and even drips of melted icecream from a week ago. Yuck!

I often leave the dog's ramblings all over the house until it's time to clean. All their toy's stuffing, ripped toilet paper and even cardboard just lie there until I feel like cleaning.

I often find my shoes in a variety of places, by the bed, on the living room floor, by the door, even in the bathroom. I'm really bad at putting them away. The dishes pile up in the sink and I even have a dishwasher. Talk about lazy!

Ah, and the place for romance. It so often holds the evidence of clean laundry and even some dirty laundry. Ever find yourself sniffing clothes to determine their status? That's my room in a nutshell. I always wanted to have a clean organized room where peace and love would be obtained but I can't seem to obtain anything!

and last but not least, the room that we're painting. Part of that explains the chaos but not all of it. Granted we also have little furniture, so many things don't even have a home yet but I'll tell you what, I'm tired of it.

So there you have it. Evidence that life in the King"dom" is not so fairy tale-ish. Our marriage hasn't been the best, my sanity is not always there, my dogs are not always clean, my home is rarely as nice as it "appears" to be. My self esteem usually sits low on the scale and I'm even in counseling. So no worries! You're not alone in this world of chaos and confusion. There's plenty of evidence of that!

New Year, New Things

It's a new year with new things like an updated due, which I updated myself. This is what it looks like natural. All I did was get out of the shower. I didn't know it could be so wavy on it's own. It really doesn't look that different, I just thinned it out a lot.

A new journal. I finished my old one last night and I've been dying to get this one. I found it at Barnes & Noble over a month ago and knew one day I had to have it to write wonderful things in.

A new outlook. This is a new time for me and I've decided to focus on me a little more and pursue more of my interests, maybe even finish school. I just need to figure out what I'm passionate about so I can study it more. If anyone knows what that is...let me know.

New sweaters. To keep the kiddles warm. Ume is always shivering in our house so I thought it was time to do something for my little girl. She's a sweetheart and deserves a pretty pink sweater. And Ryu really knows how to pull off turquoise and green don't you think?

And last but not least, a new hobby. Movies. I've really been enjoying creating my own little movies. Here's the latest....

I totally forgot to add the pics of the bedrooms...so here they are. Nothing specatular but big enough and comfy. That's our new bed from Ikea. I think it's our first piece of brand new furniture. We've been waiting a long time to buy it and we're very pleased with it. The second room is acting as a storage place right now until we change the locks on the shed. Hopefully we'll get to turn it into a nursery within the next year. We're hopeful!

Our totally awesome, retro stackable washer/dryer that actually works pretty well. There is not cold rinse and we have to tape the dryer knob to keep it on...but hey, it gets the job done.

Day Three point five

Sure. That sounds good. I just gotta finish my homework and ask my mom.

Yeah, is Darian ready?
As soon as he's done with his homework.
(twenty minutes later)
All right, I'm gonna go on the trail and see you guys when I'm done with my three miles.
(In my mind)
Nothing...nothing...nothing. (then it comes time to run). Okay, I just gotta get around this thing twice to make a half mile straight. I can do this. I just need to imagine crossing the finish line at the end of everything. I've just finished biking 14 miles and swam before that. My heart rate is up, my legs and back are tired and I'm in the home stretch. Just 1/2 mile left. Levi and the dogs are waiting for me at the end. Some of my family is there waiting for me to finish. They will be so excited to see me cross the finish line. Now I've just got a little more to go. We'll have watermelon and maybe go out to the lake later today after a big long nap of course. My body will be so tired. Just 1/4 left now. I can do this...I can do this....(singing) "I need thee every hour..." I can see the finish and there's my family. I'm so excited. Just pick up the pace a bit. Almost there. Getting closer, "I need thee, Oh, I need thee, every hour I need thee..." There it is! This is it! Here we go.....! Yeah, I finished a half mile straight! I can so do three miles some day.
(Another twenty minutes later)
You guys about ready to go home? I've just got to go down the hill and around and I'm done with my three miles and bugs eating me.
Yeah, just maybe five more minutes.
Okay, I'll just finish my three and come back up to meet you.

Day Three

Okay...so here's to day two, which actually occurred two days ago and I wanted to take a picture but the batteries died before I could do it. So instead I posted my living space for the past month and a half so you can see why I would want to walk. I can't wait until we get into our own place! So I did run a half mile just not all in at once. But did the full 3 miles in under an hour. It was much easier this time and hopefully will only get easier. Last month was Grendma's funeral which you can read on all my sister's blogs. It was a nice funeral and even fun. I think Grendma would have wanted it that way.

We even got to get out with the cousin's and ride a little! We all had a lot of fun learning to push our limits on the quads.

Levi really worked on pushing his limits too!

Then we rocked it out with rock band!

Then back in Utah Levi rocked it out with his aunt, uncle and cousin Darian. It was Darian's birthday and Lerraine and Stan and Darian were kind enough to play for us.
Stan showed Levi how to play his bass which he hasn't played for years. It's a lot of fun to have so much musical talent in one family.

First Day of Training

So I was planning to do a triathalon this summer but it didn't work out because I moved in the middle of everything! So I'm gonna go ahead and start training for next year. Today was day one. I walked up the road a bit and found a mile track that I can use to train on. I ran, maybe, 1/4 of a mile and not all at once...but I did walk the full 3 miles. I think it was a good start considering I've eaten more than my share of fast food the last month since we don't have our own place yet. Yuck! I feel so GROSS! But I've decided to start my training and log it for all to see. It won't happen every day because I don't want to die but I will probably walk again tomorrow. I'm hoping to run the 1/4 mile straight with no stops. I know...I know...I'm so ambitious. Once day at a time, right? Well, so that does it for day one. Hopefully, the pictures will get better and I'll look better and less dead. Ta TA!

I guess I should get around to updating this...I'm now a Utard. We moved to Salt Lake about 2 weeks ago and are working out living arrangements. I go for an interview in 15 minutes with Hollister Co. to earn some income while I build my No Go Errand Services biz. We are also looking at a house to buy which may come as a surprise but a lot of prayers have gone into this and we wouldn't do anything we didn't feel was right. I will post some pictures of it and our new car once I get around to it. Well, wish me good luck with my interview.

I decided the other day to stop wasting so much time on the computer, watching TV or doing puzzles. There is so much more I could do. So...I went and did some things I haven't done in a long time. I played in the mud puddles when it rained. I pulled weeds with Mom and tried to help Dad build a frame for the new front steps. I also took some pictures with my little digital of the beautiful day we had.

Okay Fine! I'll at least leave a new post! So many people have told me to update my blog and I just haven't made any time to do it. I mostly haven't because I wanted to add some new pics but don't really have any yet. Anyway...Levi and I moved to Fallon back on Valentine's Day. What a delightful Valentine's. But we are here now until we figure out what is next. Levi is going to try substitute teaching and maybe even be able to teach math. We are currently working for my cousin James doing some electrical work. We are both officially electricians as we have both been shocked and our hands are falling apart (not to mention the rest of our bodies). It's physically demanding and all I do now is sleep and work. We are doing a big project and when that is over we will be done being electricians. Thank goodness! Other than that, life is dandy and we are healthy, happy, and well. I do have some easter pics and will add those later. I'm just short on time now! Thanks for caring!

Cruise, Cruise, Cruise

So, we went a-cruising in celebration of five years of marriage and a honeymoon we never had. And it was the best vacation I've ever had. I didn't have to do anything that I didn't want to do and it was expected for me to eat until I bulged (which I did)! I highly recommend a cruise to anyone. It was a 5 day cruise to San Diego, Catalina, and Ensenada, Mexico. We met some really nice people from all over, Texas, San Francisco, Minnesota, Auburn, CA, Scotland and of course all the employees are from other countries. We did some rock climbing, karioke, dancing, biking, eating, picture taking, shopping and some getting lost. You name it, we might have done it or thought about it. We didn't get sea-sick except I still feel like I'm rocking back and forth. We did lose each other the last night and couldn't find each other for about an hour. I was so sad and worried. But the silly thing is that we were both on the boat with nowhere to go; we just kept passing each other.
Our dinner table pals were the best ever! Regina and Enrique. We had some good laughs and I will never forget "Jim!" (little inside joke).
We also really enjoyed the time we spent with Levi's Uncle Ernie and Gary in Newport Beach. They were so kind to let us stay with them and show us around and drop us off and pick us up. Great guys!
The whole trip was a blast and well worth my time!

We got our nails done and all that jazz. Levi and I went to Megan's Gruelicious All Hallow's Eve Vampire Party and took some pics of everyone's costumes. Looking good...looking good. Other than that...it's same ol' same ol'. Just working and trying to figure out what to do with the next bit of our lives. We're hoping to go to Japan for a year but we'll see if that what we're supposed to do. If not then we're figure out something else. So enjoy the shots and have a great Holiday (to be said with a british accent.)!

I had so much fun tonight exploring others blogs! Brings back memories....(few moments to ponder). Everyone has changed and grown so much and look so great! I wish I could feel the same way about me. I'm still Just Janet, plain, unexciting....wait, wait hold the phone. There will be no self-wallowing here! I've got it under control. I've just been blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life, so many great examples of excellence. Besides...I am succeeding...I'm reaching my goals and dreams and the future has much to hold. Long Enough

Well, I guess it's been long enough. I can update my blog now. I posted pics of my July. My bro's wedding and our week at Tahoe for the Pereria fam reunion. Both were a lot of fun and I really enjoyed seeing my family members. I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures. There were a ton more but I don't want to bore anyone.

So this guy emails me. His subject line: "hey cutie." right. I mean, my photo was on the website. He must know I am no "cutie." Cute just seems so very wrong. "Cute" should be reserved for kittens, babies, and certain types of early blooming flowers. Maybe he's just not very clever. Maybe he thinks that "cutie" is a blanket compliment... one size fits all? Perhaps it's a term of endearment he uses for his grandmother, for his favorite niece. Hmm... all the more reason it shouldn't be used for spikey-haired freaky people. Then again, maybe he was trying to be nice. That's another great word: nice. ick.

Well. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

It begins tonight! It begins tonight. This is a month of new beginnings for me. A change of pace, a new start to a new person. I'm very excited about these changes. I've set goals and am stoked to attain them. I will succeed in becoming more than I ever planned to be. It begins tonight!
